Moving forward into fall, the Pipe Ministry will continue to meet on Wednesday nights with one new twist: We will be partaking in the Family Dinner in The Grove that begins at 5:15 p.m. each Wednesday starting September 21.
After dinner, we will go down to the Pipe for a good word and a good time from 6-7 p.m.
We know that each of you has a lot going on, and that there will be times when you cannot attend during the week. It is for this reason that we want to continue using this space as a connection point to the ministry of the church, as well as planning events, from time to time, on the weekends. With that in mind, we will have a calendar for fall/winter activities (look for that in the next few days). You can also click here to see what’s on the dinner menu through the end of the year.
When we publish the event schedule, we will also have a schedule for Wednesday evening Pipe messages. We will continue to use curriculum from the Bible Project, which we started last spring, and to preview the upcoming message in this space.
We are super excited about having all of you at family dinner. It has been an incredible blessing to my family, and to many other families in our church. This is great opportunity to strengthen our relationships with one another, and to build new relationships with many of the people who make our community of faith so strong.
Family dinner is free, though we do accept donations, and very casual.
One other important thing: family dinner is for everyone — you do not have to bring your family to attend. In other words, if you are flying solo, the worst-case-scenario is that you might have to sit with me (or worse yet, Matt). Even if you come with your family, you are not bound by any law of God or man to sit with them. It is a judgement-free zone.
The meal generally lasts about 30-45 minutes, but if you want to dine and dash down to the Pipe, you are free to do so.
